Book Photography for Authors, Speakers, and Consultants

Photos of your actual book, the cover, the spine, and the pages inside, built for your launch and everywhere your book needs to show up after it. From $300.

You wrote a book. Now let it earn its keep.

Book photography for authors, speakers, coaches and consultants.

Your book is the clearest proof you've got that you think for a living. Somebody can look at it and know you did the work, no explanation required.

So it needs to show up everywhere. Your site, your kit, your LinkedIn, the podcast page, the slide deck. Not as a graphic somebody mocked up, but as the actual thing - the cover, spine, and pages inside where the transformation lives.

Most authors have one photo of themselves holding it up and smiling. That's not enough to carry a book for the next five years.

I wasn’t entirely sure taking photos of my new book would be worth the effort. But John made it pop, and I’ve already used them often in marketing to great success.

Where These Photos Go

One session covers you for years. Here's where they show up:

For the launch:

  • Amazon page and launch emails

  • Preorder campaigns and announcement posts

  • Press features and online content

  • Promo graphics for every podcast you go on

And long after it:

  • Your website, home, about and book pages

  • LinkedIn and other social content

  • Speaker one-sheet and media kit

  • Slide decks, workshops, and event screens

And it goes past placement. A pull quote becomes a graphic. A chapter title becomes a hook for a post. A framework page becomes a visual on your website.

You're not asking anybody to take your word for what's in the book. You're showing them.

John’s photos boosted my book launch, improved my website, and energized my presentations.

What is captured

Two kinds of photos… and the second one is the secret weapon.

COVER AND SPINE

Front, back, spine, straight-on hero shots, vertical and horizontal, versions with room for text. These are the ones you'll use everywhere the book needs to be recognized on sight.

INSIDE PAGES

Quotes, frameworks, chapter titles, section headers, illustrations. This is where the substance is, and it's what lets somebody see the depth of what you wrote before they've read a word of it.

John knew how to showcase my book and make it incredibly useful as a marketing tool.
— Leslie Ehm

How It Works

We plan it. We get on a quick call and figure out what's worth pulling from inside the book, whether that's the quotes, the illustrations, the section headers, or the frameworks you built. We also talk through where you need these to show up, from your launch materials to your media kit to your website.

I shoot it. I photograph the cover, the spine, and the pages inside, and I shoot for variety, so you and your team have plenty of creative latitude when it comes time to use them.

You get it back. Everything comes back sorted by type of photo and delivered in both low and high resolution, so you can drop them straight into whatever you're building.

This is for you if

  • Your book is part of how people size you up, not just something you sell.

  • You've got a launch coming and you need photos for all of it.

  • You're speaking, consulting, or teaching, and the book needs to be visible everywhere you are.

  • You're tired of the same hold-the-book-and-smile shot.

  • You want the book to look like it belongs at the level you charge.

Got a book?

Let's make it work harder.

Tell me what you've written and where you need it to show up. We'll figure out which of these makes sense, and if you've got a launch coming, we'll work backward from that date.
