[TESTIMONIAL] Your body language matters...
For branding photography, your posture and body language are not just details, they are the calling cards of your story.
They convey the essence of who you are.
Genuine posture and natural body language resonate more deeply with your audience than any forced pose ever could.
It quietly asserts itself through your stance, the tilt of your head, the way you rest your chin against your hand. By not putting on a show by posing in some preconceived way, you naturally feel more comfortable in front of the camera by simply being you, and that shines through in every photo.
Conversely, if you force a pose in front of the camera, that unfamiliarity and discomfort will be written all over your face, which will sour the images, and ultimately, inspire you to never use them because they don’t aptly represent you in the best light.
No bueno.
Remember, your body speaks before you do. Let your posture and body language reflect the true you.
Someone who understood the importance of genuine posture and body language is Adam. Recently, he had some time together to grab some portraits to update his image portfolio.
Here’s what he had to say about our collaboration:
“I booked John for my branding photo session because I needed photos specifically for my speakers page. I heard that was John’s specialty.
John prepared me by letting me know exactly what to bring to the session beforehand.
John was great throughout the entire process. He made sure that I was only posing the way I normally would so that it would be authentic.
Even though the session was only 60-minutes long, we got a lot done, including multiple postures, outfits and backgrounds.
I highly recommend John for anyone looking to do a photoshoot to show their best selves.”
Thanks, Adam - it was a pleasure to have you in front of the lens, even if only for an hour.
