Using stock photos on your website?
Think again…
One of the popular remedies for people looking to put together a website is to leverage stock photography in order to expedite the process.
There are so many options these days for people to purchase stock images - subscription-based, one-off and pay-per-use. And, in all honesty, the options for purchase are improving. Once upon a time, you could spot a stock photo from a mile away. Now? It’s not nearly as bad…
…although, let’s be honest, I still can sniff those out pretty quickly, :)
In this day and age, where people are constantly evolving their businesses, brands and offerings on a consistently recurring basis, the need for instant image content is ever present. Just this past year, I created 2 new offers and needed image content for 3 separate landing pages. The good news is I already have a well-”stocked” image library, :)
While it certainly makes the process more convenient, it creates more problems than it provides solutions, especially if you’re leveraging images on a popular stock site.
I talk about how in a recent article I wrote for the C-Suite Network - you can check out the article here.
If you’re interested in learning more about the storytelling process and become aware of the power of the relationship between the written word and the visual, I invite you to subscribe to my blog.
I’ll throw in a freebie to sweeten the pot, how does that sound? :)
