Why do we really need professional photos?

Listen to this conversation and you’ll understand why

Recently, I was on the phone with a portrait client, Joya, and as we were chatting about life, I brought up the whole, “I shoot Zoom meetings” thing that you’ve seen me share incessantly over the past couple months.

She had no idea.

More interestingly, she was intrigued.

That intrigue led to a realization that shit, she could use these photos for her own promotional purposes.

Next thing you know, her face was on my laptop screen on top of my go-to stage, aka, folding table.

After the session, she expressed her appreciation and marveled at how we were able to capture such interesting photos from the least likely of places.

That’s when I suggested that we save the conversation for Zoom and share the recording with her audience.

And that’s exactly what we did. And here is the conversation.

Some of the topics we discussed:

  • Why is storytelling important in your images?

  • How do we come up with a shot list for a virtual session?

  • How can these photos be used to promote a speaker, trainer and expert business?

  • What’s the difference between a headshot and a lifestyle portrait?
