The more your audience trusts you, the more they’ll take action and sign up for your help.

One of the never-ending aspects of being an expert-based business owner is adjusting and evolving the way in which we market and promote our services.

It’s a constant work in progress.

Always be testing, right?

Sometimes, the strategies and tactics that we employ work like a charm. And others, our attempts fall flatter than a pancake. It’s just a part of the deal.

But, one aspect of your marketing that always moves the needle when seeking visibility for who you are, who you serve and why you do what you do is your image content.

Why?

We are wired as humans to understand the world around us through visuals, and photos and have the ability to create an immediate emotional connection with the viewer.

And if the images are consistent, that nurtures a relationship.

And that relationship leads to building trust.

And trust is what inspires your audience to turn to you for your specialized help.

The more seeds you plant by connecting with your audience that you create through your online presence, the more clients you will book.

But, it’s not just about slapping up any photo that has your face in it. It must be a purposeful and intentional process.

Create an entry point into your life with content that shows your audience what your world looks like.

What does work look like to you? What does your process for brainstorming ideas look like? How do you work with your clients? Give them the opportunity to envision working with you through image content that places them in the chair right next to you - or on a virtual call.

Also, what do you do with your time when you're not working? What matters to you? What hobbies do you enjoy? Do you spend time with family? What books inspire you to show up in the world the way that you do?

Figure out what you are comfortable sharing publicly and create image content that captures these activities and moments in your life and share them consistently with your audience.

These types of lifestyle photos create a well-rounded picture of who you are and provide your audience more context beyond your expertise. This creates distinction and separates you from other experts who share your space.

It goes a long way in building a genuine relationship with those you serve.

While the photos do a fair amount of heavy lifting, it can’t do the job by itself. Your insights, experiences and storytelling needs to be a part of the conversation, as well.

It’s the combination of these two elements that truly drives your message home for those you serve.

Is it an exact science? Nope - always be testing, folks, :)

But understanding the influence that consistent and purposeful image content has with your audience will go a long way in establishing a memorable online presence that leads to more attendees for your events, more work with organizations and more one-on-one clients that need your expertise.
