A peek behind the curtain

Recently, I had an opportunity to photograph a 1-day mastermind event filled with an array of professional speakers.

This wasn't just a gig to capture magical moments through my lens - I mean, I did that, too, but it was also a chance to immerse myself in the world of those I serve.

Being in a room filled with speakers, I found myself in a unique position.

Not only was I there to snap away, but I was also there to listen to their conversations, challenges and aspirations. This experience provided me with invaluable insights into the industry in which I serve.

One of the key takeaways from this event was gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges speakers face. From honing their craft to seeking to get on more stages, I was provided an opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the business of a professional speaker.

Every conversation, every shared experience was a piece of intelligence about the people I serve. This information is invaluable. It's not just about understanding what they need right now, but it’s also about aligning my services with the trajectory of their professional journeys.

The more I know about the speaking industry, the better equipped I am to tailor my services to meet their visual storytelling needs.

This event was a masterclass in understanding my clientele more intimately. I learned about their preferences, their dislikes, what excites them and what challenges them.

By being present for this mastermind, it was a real learning experience, a chance to dive deep into the world of my people.

It reinforced my belief that to truly serve your clients, you need to understand their world.

The more informed I am, the better I can deliver magic for them :)
