Give your workbook some love

Does your in-person training involve customized workbooks?

If so, show it in your photos.

Over the years, I have been in countless trainings and other facilitations.

Or, as I like to call them, table-messer-upper sessions.

If you’ve been inside a training room of people sitting around a big boardroom table for a day or two, you know exactly what I mean:

Empty bottles, protein bar wrappers, laptops, notepads, tablets, power cables, water containers, lunch tins spread from edge to edge all over the tabletop.

It’s quite a scene, but it does make for some candid and compelling images, that’s for sure!

The other aspect of those trainings that make for compelling images involves the actual learning process for those seated at the table.

Especially if they’re using a customized workbook for the occasion.

It’s one thing to commit to a training and take a million notes in your phone, laptop or notebook, it’s another when you’re given a workbook to organize your brainstorms and other insights, in addition to the chronologically laid out course materials.

These types of photos add to the perception of value for potential future participants of this training.

And that’s why the next time you facilitate a training with a customized workbook for each participant, instruct your photographer to capture candid photos of the book itself, as well as photos of participants engaging with it in various ways.

In addition to these photos being part of the marketing materials to promote future sessions, they also can be used in a variety of other places, as well:

  • Website

  • PDF Proposals

  • Social post images

  • Blog thumbnails

  • Presentation slides

  • Other marketing and promotional projects

Capitalize on the effort and investment you made into the creation of that workbook by leveraging those photos across your entire online presence.

They not only are visually interesting photos in their own right, but they also add a level of credibility to your training course, overall.

After all, not every trainer puts in the effort to create a workbook, so this is a chance for you to create distinction from other experts in your space.

Seize the opportunity through a portfolio of eye-catching, candid photos.
