A labor of love :)

It’s such a joy to serve experts who help others get past what’s holding them back…

…especially when they’re genuine and generous human beings like Bruce Weinstein.

Over the course of my time serving expert-based business owners, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a large collection of interesting and inspiring folks.

This is why I chose to pour my efforts into serving experts in the first place.

Many of these clients are not just a one-and-done session - we’ve done extensive and diverse work together throughout the years, which makes for an even deeper connection, mutual appreciation and friendship over time.

One such person is Bruce Weinstein.

I’ve known Bruce for several years, and we’ve created all different types of magic in that time, including virtual photography, branded Lifestyle portraits, and, most recently, shooting one of his keynotes:

While the work is fun and enjoyable to create with him, what I enjoy even more are our thought-provoking and engaging conversations that occur before and after the camera is in my hands.

He is genuinely curious and interested, and it’s made these experiences far more fulfilling than me simply showing up, shooting and leaving.

Recently, Bruce sat down and took time out of his schedule to generously share some thoughts about working with me:

John DeMato is a consummate artist and a high-character professional. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him since he began photographing the monthly meetings of the New York City chapter of the National Speakers Association years ago.

It was astonishing how much his photography raised the bar. He was able to capture the chapter’s presenters in ways I’d never seen them before. He found their inner light, and his images revealed the subjects and the chapter at their best.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I hired John to shoot images of me giving virtual presentations. When I was invited to speak in D.C., I booked John to photograph the event, and what a smart decision that was.

One of the most salient features of John’s artistry and professionalism is that he works behind the scenes. No one will be aware of his presence. Long lenses, no flash, a quiet digital camera—he will not distract your audience during speeches, networking events, or book signings. They won’t know he’s there, but they *will* thank you for having brought him in. That will reflect well on you, too.

Thank you, Bruce, for sharing such kind and flattering words - they do mean a lot to me :)
