Improve your writing, improve your business

Having trouble connecting with your audience through your content writing?

Below is an opportunity for you to Win. Right. Now.

For the first 3 years of my photography business, my content sucked.

I was consistently inconsistent.

I treated my social posts and blog articles as an opportunity to shove portfolio work down people’s throats.

And, when I did make an attempt at offering a “story” along with the photos, it sounded like every other generic photographer.

Long story short, I failed to provide any insights and value to my audience, and give them a reason to connect and learn more about how I can help.

And then, I met Mike Roderick.

In our first meeting, Mike didn’t mince words with me as he mentioned all of the above issues with the content I was sharing, along with one other important ingredient missing from my writing:

“There is no John in any of these words.”

By that, he meant that my personality, passion and voice was completely missing from my writing.

He then suggested that I write multiple blog articles and social posts per week.

Ugh jeez - how the hell am I supposed to come up with all of those ideas week-after-week? I was barely scraping by up until that point.

As a way to ease my heavy resistance, he broke down how to rethink the way that I approached creating content in a way that I would’ve never figured out on my own.

Sure, the idea of writing multiple posts per week scared the hell out of me, but the way in which he laid out a process for dissecting my intellectual property while also sourcing relevant anecdotes from the conversations I’ve had with potential clients, clients, colleagues and mentors, I started to see the bigger picture.

That conversation happened in mid-July 2017.

Since August 1, 2017, I have written 3 blog articles a week, every week, to this very day.

And, lemme tell you, the juice was worth the squeeze.

In addition to all of the podcast appearances and introductions that my articles help make happen, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard something along the lines of, “I’ve been following your blog for months - amazing information - I was just waiting for the right time to reach out, and now, the time is here.”

And that’s the point.

If you’re not nurturing your audience with relevant, inspiring and valuable content, you’re missing out on an opportunity to nurture an audience of potential clients who need your help, now or in the future.

That’s why when I heard Mike was offering a course on how to write consistently, I knew I had to share it with you.

It’s called Win. Right. Now.

This 6-week intensive course includes instruction, assignments, and group discussion that will help you nail your I.F. (Innovative Framework), crush your inconsistency in your writing, and walk you through how to compel your audience to contact you and buy from you.

This course is ideal for speakers, trainers, coaches and consultants who want to add writing to the mix in their marketing but have been reluctant to pull the trigger or who have been writing, but want to take it up a notch for their Thought Leadership work.

Each week, he’ll teach 45-60 minutes first on how to create your innovative framework (Your I.F.)  that will be the basis for your thought leadership, then walk you through everything he’s learned in the five years he’s been writing daily emails about how to write so people share your content,

Finally you'll tackle how you can get your writing to do more of the heavy lifting for you and create content that sends people your way for your services, interviews, etc.  After the direct instruction there will be discussion and weekly assignments.

You'll write every week.  You don't have to write daily, but you will choose a cadence and stick to it through the process.

All sessions will be recorded and shared with you and you'll want to show up live to get questions answered.

Hes also creating a community channel for all of you to interact with one another, share your writing, etc. on Slack.

The intensive kicks off 8pm EST, Tuesday May 18th and go each week until the final session on June 22nd at 8pm EST.

Mike’s plan is to have this be a $5,000 program when it officially launches, but since this will be the first iteration and he wants to get feedback on the lessons, learn about what works and what doesn't, the plan is to make the beta price $2,500.

Also, if you are one of the first 10 people to register, he will include a 90-Minute one-on-one session with him that you can use any time during the six weeks.

If you’re interested in signing up for the course, email me at info@johndemato.com with the subject title, “Win. Right. Now.” and I will connect you to Mike.

It will be a magical and transformative experience - #yeahabsolutely
