My clients inspire me to keep going...
My clients keep me going…
...I can’t express the joy in words that I feel when I see the work we do together come alive, :)
You know, we all need to make a living - that’s obvious.
But, when you are able to create an income based on work that makes the difference in people’s lives and businesses, well, that’s the shit I’m really after.
I’m selfish for that high I get when I see my client’s sharing massive amounts of informative, entertaining and inspiring content that leverages our branded lifestyle portraits.
Sue me, :)
One of my clients who continues to put a smile on my face, day-after-day, is speaker and soon-to-be author, Chinwe Esimai.
From the moment we got on the phone for the first time, we instantly clicked and I knew that this was gonna turn out really well for the both of us. How did I know?
Because she “loved” the way I talked shit, :)
Oh, and because we both see the intense drive and passion for what we do for a living, which, you know, is kinda important when building rapport and establishing a connection that propels an amazingly authentic and powerful portrait session.
But, it’s not just about the branded lifestyle portraits.
Chinwe and I have worked on a couple different projects over the course of the past few months, and, each time, it’s been pretty magical - a TON of work and effort, but, productively magical, nonetheless.
Chinwe was gracious enough to share her thoughts on the work we’ve done together:
John is a genius at branded lifestyle photography.
I've been privileged to work with John on three services: a branded lifestyle portrait session, keynote speaking at a conference, and the social media idea incubator.
From the very first strategy call, John was well-prepared and had a keen sense of how to help me reach my goals. He reviewed my website and social media presence. His advance preparation enabled him to ask informed questions about my brand and objectives.
Going into the session, I had high expectations, based on our initial conversations and on the recommendation of friends who’d worked with him. John far exceeded those. He elicited a wide range of expressions through humor and conversation.
True story: John had his face licked by a stranger’s dog while he lay on the ground to capture an angle during my branded portrait session.
John’s Idea Nugget Incubator has been truly transformative for me.
As one who is relatively new to a number of social media platforms and previously found online engagement rather confounding, John gave me a framework to authentically engage online and create endless social media content that connects with and serves my audience. I went from posting sporadically on social media to posting daily and visually punctuating those posts with exceptionally high quality images.
In my experience, John consistently delivers remarkable value. I am incredibly grateful for his talent, passion, and commitment. I look forward to leveraging his services for years to come.
Although a humbling experience to read these words, it also simultaneously excites me to continue along my path to help those who help others get past what’s holding them back from showing up in the world the way they want.
Because making a living and collecting a check is simply not enough for me to show up in the world the way that I want, :)
PS - For those of you who aren’t in the know, I mail out these blogs 3x a week, and lemme tell you, they’re a real party, so, if you’d like to get in on this, sign up for it here and I’ll throw in a free gift for you, because I care, :)
