For many Experts, they offer additional value to those they serve through information and storytelling shared on their podcast.

It’s also a great way to source leads and begin the relationship building process with guests who also double as potential clients.

Either way, hosting a show become a consistent part of their education and marketing strategy. As a result, their program represents an opportunity to help create distinction from other Experts in their space by offering value to those they serve at no added cost.

While the words and insights recorded during those conversations are the primary source of value for your audience, therein lies an opportunity to create visual assets that can help support your marketing efforts to those same people…

…not just to promote the podcast, but also your credibility and brand, as well.

You see, while you’re engaged in a one-on-one conversation with your guest, you can hire a photographer to capture behind-the-scenes photos of the moment:

Behind-the-scenes photos like these give your audience an inside peek into how the sausage is made.

It allows them an opportunity to be a fly-on-the-wall to see the inner workings of your recording process, which offers them an entry point into your business and life.

This creates a deeper level of familiarity with who you are and how you work.

Whether a one-person-band and a small setup or you have a team of folks running the show with a large chunk of equipment, either way is awesome because it, nonetheless, shows them the effort you put into creating informative and inspiring content that they consume for free.

After all, if you put this much work into content that isn’t monetized, one can only imagine how much effort you’ll give with a price tag attached to it, right?

This opportunity to influence the perception your audience has of you reinforces your credibility as an expert and strengthens your overall personal brand for those who come across photos like this.

The best part?

While these visual assets can be leveraged to promote the specific episode, and the podcast in general, these photos have more flexibility than that.

How about leveraging the emotional sentiment created by facial expressions and body language conveyed in the photos to visually punctuate a story shared through an online content post?

Do you offer to produce an internal, company-wide podcast for private clients? Use these photos in the .pdf proposal.

Do you talk about your podcast in your webinars, keynotes and other presentations? Add some text and branding and use these images to create unique and compelling presentation slides.

Long story short, there’s more than one way to leverage the investment in behind-the-scenes photos of your podcast.

Ultimately, it’s yet another marketing chip that shows how you exemplify being an authority in your space of expertise.

As you already know, you can never have enough of those chips.
