For the glasses-wearers out there...

Do you wear glasses?

No judgment if you do - technically, I should be wearing them myself if I weren’t so stubborn about it!

Regardless of my own weirdness towards wearing them, when you're preparing for your next portrait session, here's an important tip to keep in mind before you set foot in front of the camera:

Bring a pair of frames with the lenses popped out.

This simple trick can significantly enhance not only the quality of your photos, but also make your investment in the session more fruitful.

How?

It's all about avoiding the glare and reflections that can occur from the lights in the space, the lights used by your photographer, and the sun.

These reflections can be quite a challenge for your photographer to navigate during a shoot, often limiting their ability to capture you from a wider breadth of angles or in the most creative light.

By using lens-less frames, you eliminate the issue of glare altogether, while still maintaining the integrity of how you show up in your life and in a room full of those you serve.

This opens up a greater range of possibilities for the photographer to experiment with lighting and angles, especially from a lower vantage point, ensuring that the focus stays on you and your expressions, not on the distractions caused by reflections on the glasses.

But, if you’ve already committed to bringing one pair of lens-less frames, why not bring a couple more, right?

This not only adds variety to your shots but also allows you opportunities to compliment and accentuate your outfits.

Remember, these small details can have a big impact on your final images.

By removing the lenses from your glasses, you're not just solving a technical issue, you're enhancing the overall quality and creativity of your photos.

So, for your next session, bring those frames and capture images that truly reflect your professional image, without any distractions.
