The art of visual punctuation
What is visual punctuation, you ask?
It’s the reason why you invest in portraits that illustrate who you are, who you serve, and why you do what you do.
A couple years ago, I was on the phone with a client, and we were discussing the possibility of working together.
As the conversation went along, he was asking me questions about the value of image content. And, at the time, I was just building my branded lifestyle portrait niche and still figuring out the kinks as I went along.
So, I was simply repeating a lot of the stuff that you read from other photographers - “They show your personality…they present you in a confident and approachable way…images help you show up on people’s feeds in a dynamic way…”
And then, I said…”they visually punctuate the sentiments of the stories you write and share to your tribe.”
The last one caught his attention - and mine, as well!
From that moment, I’ve framed my entire philosophy with that visual punctuation sentiment in mind, and it’s become a cornerstone of my work.
Now, it’s one thing to talk in generalities about it - it’s another to see it in action.
In this week’s article for the C-Suite Network, I illustrate the concept in action through the work of one of my amazing clients, Kristi Data.
