Polish up your marketing with virtual photography
Why is virtual photography necessary to promote your online services?
It adds that lil’ polish to the effort.
I was recently chatting with a colleague that I just photographed during one of his group coaching calls.
I’ve photographed his branded lifestyle portraits in the past, so it wasn’t the first time we worked together…
...but it was the first time I photographed him on a screen, so it was an interesting experience, as all virtual sessions tend to be.
Yeah - it’s still kinda weird, but after 130+ of these things, I’m certainly more warmed up to the process.
During our chat, he remarked at how surprised he was at the quality of the images, not just the sharpness of the screen, but the value that these images bring to visually punctuate the sentiments of the stories he will share with these photos.
He said that he’s been snapping random and haphazard smartphone shots of his Zoom calls in the past, but these photos bring a new level of aesthetic to the party.
I asked him what he meant by that.
His response was simple - when he promotes his coaching group, masterminds and webinars, the smartphone photos do the job, but, there’s something missing.
What’s missing?
Polish.
From the interesting angles and incorporation of practical living spaces in the background to the focus on the expressions captured while speaking, there is a level of professionalism and shine that is impossible to capture with a self-photographed, camera phone photo.
While the self shots are rough around the edges, professional virtual photos help him elevate beyond that coarseness in order to visually parallel the quality of the education and insights shared during his virtual meetings.
I’m glad I asked as I have never thought of these photos in that light before.
And now, I get to share that unique perspective with you, :)
So the next time you have a virtual meeting or other online event, take a pause and ask yourself:
Am I good with just the run-of-the-mill camera phone snaps of this event?
Is this the most effective way at capturing my audience’s attention to sign up for the next event?
Is it worth the cost to invest in high-quality, virtual photos to tell my story in a better way?
If the answer is YES, then I’m here to help - with some extra magic thrown in!
