"I've been waiting for someone like you for 10 years!"
Showcase how you serve your audience virtually…
...with professional photos that allow them to visualize working with you.
“I’ve been waiting for someone like you for 10 years!”
This was one of the first things that Sher mentioned to me on our initial consultation call.
At first, I had no idea what the hell she meant by that, but she eventually explained that she’d been working on Zoom for a decade and throughout that entire time, she could never find a professional photographer to capture virtual photos of the work she does.
Until she came across me during a talk I gave in one of the masterminds of which she is a member.
Well shit, I wish it didn’t take a pandemic to figure this one out, but, better late than never, right?
In addition to that inspiring revelation she shared, we also went to work strategizing for her virtual session. We…:
Identified all the key types of photos we needed to capture in order to illustrate the experience of working with her virtually
Discussed staging and lighting
Planned a series of outfit changes to add in visual diversity
Explored the opportunity of incorporating a curated audience
Once we locked in the particulars, it was go time - and boy, did we shoot a bunch of shit, :)...:
After the photos were delivered, Sher wanted to share some thoughts on her experience:
“As an expert in the EdTech field, my work is done primarily in the digital world. Professional portraits that combine great photography with a technical setting was a terrific option to showcase my work. The array of poses, scenarios, and ability to use my own office allowed me to align photo usage with the type of events and mediums that I participate in and use including my own website, social media, presentations, and as head shots for publications.
The photos have a professional quality, capturing my work and my interaction with others. And the clear resolution, attention to surrounding details can’t be matched as you can relax and have someone else create the perfect photo. You can't capture this level of technique on a regular iPhone
John really made the session easy and exciting! After talking through a few details and making sure the background looked as I wanted, we talked through how he would capture the pictures and what I needed to do, which was enjoy the moment! It was an easy experience and he would cue me as needed for any movement, adjustments or the next caption.
If you are seeking a way to incorporate the way you present while also getting high quality photos, John DeMato has mastered the technique. John’s eye for detail and his ability to capture you in both still and in presentation mode through a screen is an artform. The pictures are rich and detailed as if he were onsite. I’d recommend anyone who is building or expanding their business to take advantage of having a style of photos that fit today’s world.”
It was a magical time working with Sher, especially because we worked hard to solve her problem of capturing the experience that she offers her clients, which is one of the biggest reasons to invest in professional virtual photography.
