Embrace you
When it comes to the pursuit of crafting this "perfect" image in your photos, it’s the wrong use of time and effort.
Granted, you don’t want to look like shit in your photos – neither do I - so we both have that in common.
But always remember, these photos are for them – your audience, your clients - NOT you.
Those perceived imperfections? They need to take a back seat.
Why?
The bigger picture is about making people feel like they know you. And step one to that is through your visuals.
Now, you might think, “I'll just Photoshop the heck out of my photos, and it’ll be all good.”
Nope, it won’t.
Imagine this: How would you feel if you met someone in person, and they looked drastically different from their photos? It’s jarring, right?
It creates doubt, and that’s the last thing you want.
You need to look like the person you are in the lives of those you serve, just as you do in your photos.
If there’s a disconnect, it casts doubt in their minds. As you know, trust is a fragile thing, and once it’s gone, it’s likely gone forever.
So, before you go all out trying to hire a retoucher to shave off 20 pounds or 20 years - or BOTH - pause for a second.
Own who you are. Embrace it.
Your authentic genuine self – that’s your power.
Your photos should reflect the real you, the one who stands in front of your audience, who shares wisdom, who coaches, who makes a difference.
Remember, in the end, it's not just about looking good in photos. It’s about connecting, building trust, and being relatable.
It's about showing up as you are, confidently, and letting people see the real you.
So, embrace your uniqueness, your reality. Let your photos tell your true story. That’s where your real magic lies.
Own it, and watch how it transforms your connection with your audience.
