It's about your essence

Raise your hand if you love when a connection you made on LinkedIn sends you a stock email with 12 links to products that you can buy from them?

My guess is that no one is firing their hands up. Why?

Is it because what they’re offering is not valuable? Well, not necessarily.

It’s because you have no idea who this person is from a hole in a wall, and before you have a chance to say hello, they’re shoving their entire storefront down your throat.

You don’t have a sense of who they are yet, and based on the first impression that they made by doing what they did, chances are you’ve just lost interest in finding out more about how they can help you.

At the end of the day, if you’re a service-based business owner, you’re also in the business of building relationships. And building those relationships takes time.

One of the ways to help your audience get to know you is through the visuals you share with your audience.

By that, I don’t mean through some highly manufactured, heavily retouched, and artificial images that you THINK your people want to see.

It’s through photos that capture what they NEED to see - visuals that represent your essence.

These images help subtextually inform them of who you are as a human being, allowing them to qualify whether or not your personality is a fit for them to the point that they trust you enough to help them, their team, business or organization be better than they were yesterday.

Rather than jam down your audience’s throats how you can help solve their problems from the first second of connection, allow them a chance to get to know you better…

…and purposefully use your photos to help nurture a genuine relationship over time.

By going this route, you ensure that the people you attract into your world are a true fit for the way you can help them.

Magical, isn’t it?
