A copywriting assistant on the cheap

For experts who speak, coach, write, and train, maintaining a consistent, valuable content strategy is important.

But for many folks, feeding their neverending story online poses a significant challenge.

While it can be difficult to maintain a creative writing schedule, there is help.

One option? How about ChatGPT?

When prompted properly, ChatGPT is a powerful tool that can create relevant content tailored to your unique needs.

Here’s how:

First, choose a portion of your framework that you want to elaborate on. Maybe it's a section heading from your latest book, a key concept from your training program or a cornerstone of your coaching methodology.

Next, determine the length of the post. Whether you need a concise, social media caption or an extensive blog article, ChatGPT can cater to your requirements.

Now, craft a detailed brief. Point out the key ideas you want to highlight, nuances you wish to include, and the tone of voice in which you want it to convey. If you want, include a prompt with specifics to have it carve out a compelling CTA for you, as well.

The more specific you are, the better ChatGPT can align with your vision.

Then, let ChatGPT do it.

It leverages advanced language models to generate a rich, nuanced piece of content in response to your brief.

Once you get an initial response, look it over and if it feels clunky or incomplete in any way, prompt it to include, exclude or elaborate on certain ideas and to adjust the tone, as necessary.

Once it’s produced copy that you like, DON’T just copy/paste what’s there.

ChatGPT is a good copywriting assistant, but it's not YOU.

Go through the content meticulously to ensure your voice is evident throughout.

A jarring tone or phrasing can throw off your audience, especially those familiar with your work and personality.

By leveraging ChatGPT in this way, you can get into the rhythm of creating consistent content without compromising quality.

It helps you maintain a value-driven narrative in a relatively short amount of time, freeing up more time for you to focus on what you do best - inspiring, coaching and leading.

It’s a magical solution, if you ask me :)
