The house reno is coming along...

While attending the National Speakers Association’s annual conference, Influence, in Orlando, I was surrounded by my people - clients, colleagues and mentors.

It was a great time overall while catching up with old friends and making new ones.

But that’s not the interesting part.

What I found fascinating was that out of the many conversations I had in the hallways and at dinner, the first thing the vast majority of folks wanted to talk about was NOT the work.

It was about the progress of the renovations on the first floor of my family house.

Really? That’s what you want to know about?

Half the people who asked about it surprised me because I had no idea they even followed me online in the first place!

It was an interesting and magical surprise to say the least 😊

Since I know that there’s folks who are curious to see what’s going on over there, the latest update is that the tiling in the bathroom is done and cans of paint have been finally cracked open.

When I went over to check out the progress the other day, I saw that the walls in my old room were receiving its first coat of paint, and watching that happen in front of me definitely hit home.

I’m excited to see further progress as this place transforms into something livable for someone else.

While walking around while the construction dudes were doing their thing slapping stuff against the wall - I still have no idea what most of these materials are, don’t judge me - I took a fresh round of photos to share with you.
