[VIDEO] Visual storyteller in pandemic times
Visual storyteller in pandemic times…
Creativity is king!
It’s funny how pandemics bring new people together.
Recently, I was invited to join an FB Group put together by one of my colleagues and friends, Mike Roderick. As usual, he hand-picked a wide variety of interesting and wonderful folks to be part of that group.
One person that reached out personally to say hello to me was Mindset and Creativity coach, Shari Teigman.
Although I had never met her before, the moment we started talking through instant messenger, it felt like I was speaking to a friend of 10 years.
It was quite magical - and to be honest, I selfishly needed a friend to lend an ear on that day - I was feeling extra shitty.
We clicked on a variety of levels, including talking about creativity, resilience, positivity, and being take-no-bullshit New Yorkers - the last one, course, being the glue to the entire operation, :)
After having several conversations over a couple weeks that left both of us better than when we started, we decided that it would be a good idea to share some of that juicy goodness with our audiences.
So we scheduled a Facebook Live conversation.
We didn’t prep beforehand - we just planned to have an organic conversation and see where it took us.
The video below is the result of where the conversation took us. Among several other topics, we talked about:
Persuasive visual storytelling
How I stumbled on the idea of shooting Zoom meetings and webinars
The importance of finding purpose and meaning in your life
Why it's important to stay in your expertise lane during the pandemic
The genesis of the #yeahabsolutely hashtag
Thank you, Shari, for the opportunity to talk about something other than the coronavirus bullshit. It was cathartic and fun - and I can’t wait to grab those drinks in the city, :)
