Thanks for spreading the good word, Mike...
There’s a lot of noise out in the world.
But when you find clear, definitive signals that resonate, hold onto them tight.
Let’s face it - there’s a lot of noise on social media. Now, when you factor in this pandemic, it’s even noisier - and scarier, too.
To be honest, for the first couple weeks of lockdown, I was scared shitless. It seemed like every post was offering nothing but doom and gloom - and all of that negativity put me into a clear and definable panic.
Eventually, when I became aware that my overall anxiety was fueled in large part by all the crap being thrown onto my News Feeds, I eliminated those sources entirely from my social ecosystem and focused more on reading content that fueled my creativity, inspired my soul, and lifted my spirits.
The best part?
I didn’t have to travel far and wide to find this kind of content - it’s been delivered to my inbox 5 times a week for a couple years now.
The author?
Mike Roderick - a guy that helped me once upon a time discover my voice when it comes to teaching lessons through compelling storytelling.
In addition to being a wonderful storyteller, he is also a master connector, a very savvy marketer and, quite frankly, one of the nicest human beings I have ever met - especially in the entrepreneurial space.
If the guy has time to spare and can help, he will extend his hand for you.
Although Mike has been a staple of my mornings - 7am is when his article arrives in my inbox - for a while now, his posts since the pandemic hit have been even more important to me.
He skips right past all the hysteria and hyperbole and shares valuable and actionable advice on how business owners can focus on creating connections and developing relationships with those they serve.
While this is useful information at any time, it especially is important now with everyone scrambling to make sense of a situation that is essentially out of all our control, and we’re not sure where it’s going to lead.
And that’s the thing - Mike points out how to maximize our time to take advantage of what IS in our control - and that’s how we spend our time cooped up in our homes, figuring out our next moves.
If you’re looking to take a break from the freakout posts, the screaming matches, and all the other bullshit that will propel your mind into the dark lands of Trollsville, I invite you sign up for Mike’s email list.
You will be inspired to do great things with your time - things that you will maintain long after this damn virus is finally out of our minds.
