[PODCAST] Chatting with James Taylor of The Speakers Life Podcast

On this podcast, James and I chat about virtual photography.

Virtual Photographer John DeMato on The Speakers Life Podcast

Who the hell knew this was going to be a thing at the beginning of the year, right?

If you’re a speaker, trainer or other type of virtual presenter, it’s important to present yourself in a way that illustrates the experience you offer your audience.

Traditional stage photo or being in front of the whiteboard don’t really work in this day and age. And that’s why I developed a virtual photo services during the pandemic.

Recently, while catching up with colleague and client, James Taylor, I mentioned how I was capturing Zoom events..

…complete with my laptop sitting on a folding table in various rooms of my apartment…while rolling around in sweatpants.

After I showed him some of the image content created during these sessions, he asked if I could jump on The Speakers Life Podcast and talk more about the what, why and how behind these virtual photos.

And so we did, :)

During our conversation, we touched on a couple topics including:

  • How the way I shoot these photos create an experience my clients audiences

  • The importance and specifics of a Pre-Session Strategy call for virtual keynote speakers

  • Virtual speaker wardrobes do’s and don’ts

  • The challenges of green screen spill with virtual backgrounds
