Photos to tell your "remote business" story
While those that you serve may come in all shapes and sizes…
…it’s important to share what it looks like when you educate them with your magic.
“We have really struggled to represent what we do and who we include in our programs visually with stock photos. None of the photos have a diverse set of kids playing together actively and none of the pictures of "virtual classes" have the students doing anything.
I have tried in the past to snap pictures of my own child taking our classes but there were lots of problems with that. For one thing, I couldn't use screenshots of other people's kids. For another thing, the pictures just weren't good enough quality or resolution for advertising.”
This is what Meredith, an educator who created an online distance learning program teaching PreK- 12th grade, said to me when we first got on the phone.
While this particular expert has a unique scenario that involves children as her audience, this friction point with her marketing is a common story:
How do I represent the experience that I offer those I serve?
When Meredith and I hopped on a call and she listed out all the variables that needed to be captured, we worked together to create a detailed rundown of all the photos she needed to capture all of the nuances of her program, including capturing candid photos of her and 3 other instructors during their typical classes:
While there were a lot of moving parts, our strategy and preparation made the experience smooth and painless - and cute with all of those kiddies in the rooms, :)
Meredith was very happy with the results:
“John solved all of these problems swiftly and professionally.
The whole process was really simple. I organized my people and we just jumped in and did it. I knew exactly what to expect and it went exactly as planned. I got a ton of really useful pictures the next morning.
I will be back for sure. I highly recommend John DeMato for any photography needs, but especially for capturing your online activities and telling your "remote business" story.”
Thank you, Meredith - I like happy endings, :)
Turning to you…
How well are you representing how you serve your audience in a virtual-only environment? Do you need to step up your game with virtual photos that position you as an expert who has successfully transitioned to this current environment.
If not, let’s talk about how I can help...and how I want to hook you up with extra value, :)
If you sign up for a $450 virtual session within the next 48 hours, I’ll include an extra strategy call to help brainstorm ideas for a social media strategy designed around these photos.
