The last thing I would ever call myself is a sneakerhead.
If you had to label me something shoe-related, a ‘574-head’ would be be more accurate, and I don’t even know if that exists.
Outside of my vast collection of Nikon cameras, the New Balance 574 sneakers in my apartment are my prides and joys.
While I definitely put them through their paces, and have beaten them up real good over the years, they are, by far, the most comfortable and cool-looking sneakers I’ve ever worn.
And that’s why I was so excited to create this 21 Project.
You see, I’ve been looking for an opportunity to produce a personal art project for a while, but my actual client work has kept me tied up…
…for which I’m grateful because, otherwise, how the hell am I supposed to buy all these kicks?
But, while I love the work I do with those I serve, the portraits and live event photos I create with them are, ultimately, for them. And to me, it’s important to be of service and valuable to others.
But the 21 Project is an excuse for me to create artwork that’s solely for me. I don’t get very many breaks in my schedule, so I was grateful for the 3 days I had to be able to knock around the neighborhood and capture the photos.
Regardless, for all of you fellow New Balance 574 lovers out there, the galleries below are dedicated to you…
…because you have awesome taste in shoes like me :)
Enjoy the galleries!
